Our Roots
RBM Building Services started in 1974 under the leadership of Robert Moss. It was then, and still is, a family business. Robert brought his son Jon up in the company, working and cleaning alongside him. In 2004, Jon and Janae Moss bought the company from Robert. Under their vision RBM has expanded into the three states it currently serves, and a family of specialized companies. But the values never changed: serving our clients and community; operating with impeccable integrity; and ensuring quality by training each employee to high standards, having high standards for operating procedures, and utilizing the best equipment to make sure each job is done right.
RBM Building Services now brings that small business personalization into each of its services and locations, with big business organization, training, and manpower. Giving Back with Humans Driving Change
At RBM we believe that family and community are foundational to a fulfilling way of life. Our owners, Jon and Janae Moss, founded Humans Driving Change in order to empower those who feel isolated and helpless to improve their family and community situations. RBM employees are involved in the full range of community improvement projects, from reading to children to building women’s shelters.
Our unique set of skills and resources as a building management company enable us to give back in ways that make a huge, immediate impact on the communities we serve. We are always pleased to uphold this core company value by building change for those in need. Beyond Humans Driving Change, RBM works with United Way, chipping in to their projects both with money and with manpower. We donate to food banks and also work with local charities near our locations, so we are sure to uplift the communities we serve most.
I Truly Appreciate the Care of the Team
On a university campus, our RBM team was performing their usual nightly janitorial services. One employee found a ring and promptly returned it to the facilities manager of the university. Our team member didn’t know the importance of this ring, but the university employee was extremely grateful. In her words:
“The ring was my late grandmother’s wedding band. I received it after she passed and have worn it ever since. It must have fallen off during one of my meetings and I didn’t notice it until I got home that evening. I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for whoever found the ring. It would have been devastating to lose and I just truly appreciate the care of the team who found it to return it to me.”
